Nicely built but a little noisy
This is a nice fountain. Easy to assemble and clean, cats took to it instantly, and I love that it’s possible to switch off the light. I keep this one in my bedroom but I’m probably going to have to swap it out with another fountain because it’s a bit noisy. Not motor noise; just splashy noises.

My cats love this
My two cats are not the brightest crayons in the box. I’ve had to retire a few water fountains because they couldn’t figure out how to use them. I have a different water fountain that I use upstairs. I have the exact same model downstairs but they stopped using it and were starting to get dehydrated. I bought this one and wasn’t sure if they would be able to figure it out. Thankfully, they love it!It was easy to assemble. I appreciate that everything was dishwasher safe since the first thing I did was wash everything. All of the pieces came out of the dishwasher perfectly fine. Everything appears to be good quality. I like that there is a light inside the water container that can be turned on to see the water level. It’s easy to refill when the water gets low.Overall, I’m very happy with this water fountain. It’s a great value for the price.

Quite satisfied
I have used this brand for about a year or so, but ours quit working, so we ordered this new version. So far I really like it. It’s very quiet, and I like it that it’s dishwasher safe, too. The only down side is that the filters I have from my last one won’t fit this new one. My pets seem to like this one bett, too.

My wee beasties love it!
This fountain replaced a similar one made of plastic. My three cats loved the old one when I bought it, because they are all huge fans of “wild water.” When the motor in it died, they had to drink water from a bowl (like they always had), until I could find the right replacement pump. Even though they were pleased, I still hated cleaning it every week or two, because we have ridiculously hard water. It forms a mineral crust on the insides of the fountain parts and bowl. It is really hard to clean in the many tight places of the old one, and I would end up with at least one or two busted knuckles due to my arthritic hands. I really wanted a stainless steel one to make it easier to clean, but they cost so much more than the plastic ones, I couldn’t justify spending that much.Fortunately, one day I was looking at the daily deals from Amazon, and there was this medium sized stainless steel fountain on sale. It has many features the old one didn’t, and for less than the plastic one cost. Of course I clicked “add to cart!” It came with the first two filters and sponges, so I could wait a week or two before ordering replacements. It also has a USB plug for those who would prefer one, but I use the standard electrical plug.My cats like the flower-shaped fountain piece, because they can all drink from the fountain at the same time, something they couldn’t do with the plastic one. (The stream of water in that one “fell down” a waterwall.)I was not thrilled that it had a blue light in the bowl, because I thought it would annoy me, but lo and behold, there is an on/off light switch, so that problem was solved. It holds quite a bit of water as well. I fill it up every 3 days for my three big cats.My favorite thing? For some reason I have yet to discern, my cats have not played with or splashed the water outside of the fountain. Maybe because it is sturdier, heavier, or smoother than the plastic one, they aren’t making water puddles all over the floor. I don’t know why, but I don’t care. I am no longer stepping in water when I walk by it. Oh and it comes with the little mat to place under it. Nice touch, and helps keep it in place.Altogether, I am very pleased. I recommend it to any cat owner who is looking for a non-plastic fountain that will last and be easier to clean, especially if your home has hard water and causes mineral buildup.

Almost perfect
This fountain is great, I’m a big fan of the metal design, and I love that it has the blue light which helps you indicate if the water level is low. We used to have a plastic one and my cat would get this weird blackhead looking rash on his face, so after some research I decided a metal one would be better. Well he LOVES it, so I do too. The only downside to this fountain is somehow some way it is leaking? I haven’t figured out where or how yet, and who knows maybe my cat is having a ball in the water lol. Overall the durability is pretty good but if I could find the source of the leak then I’d be able to make a final decision on the quality of this product

This item is just as described. My creature does not like water in a bowl and never drank enough! This is so captivating, inviting she went to it right away. She drank out of it 4 times yesterday after I set it up. This is so much better for their health. It’s bigger than I would like but it works.

Very nice, quiet pet fountain.
This pet fountain is quiet and easy to fill. I just fill a measuring cup with filtered water and pour it into the top tray. If it starts to make a vibration sound, tapping it gently is enough to make it stop. Would have given 5 stars except the water level indicated is not well lighted. I bought this to replace a plastic model by the same company and I do like the stainless better.

My Cats Love it!
Our two cats loved to drink from the faucet. Now they have their own fountain, and they love it. It amazes me how long they sit at the fountain and drink. I recently purchased a second fountain to go upstairs. We have food and water for them upstairs and replaced their water bowl with a fountain. When I set down the fountain they ran straight to it. Suggest you go ahead and purchase extra filters. The fountain comes with 2 filters.

Pump Failed After Two Weeks
After two weeks the unit started making noise and the pump failed. It doesn’t work now. One cat drank from it and the other cat was not interested. Once the unit started making a loud noise like a train whistle, both were terrified of it. I took apart the pump and cleaned it as per the instructions and next thing you know it doesn’t work at all.*Update, the customer service department was very quick to ship me a new pump. I ultimately discovered that the power source that attaches to the cord was the problem. Now everything works great.

Best ever and I’v tried quite a few
I would give this fountain 20 stars if I could. I have had the plastic ones and even had one metal one, but they were all such a pain to clean and the water would get mucky after a week or two so I bought this one and it took Daisy about a week before she trusted it and now she loves it. It is so very easy to clean and the water stays fresh for such a long time. It’s ridiculous. I use purified water from the store and it never ever ever gets slimy. I don’t need to scrub it. It’s just it’s so perfect.

Best Cat Watering Fountain
Absolutely LOVE it! And so do my cats. With the 6 different over flow points and the center bubbler they have a few areas to drink from and both cats are able to drink at the same time. Now I have 2 Large cats, one is at 20Lbs, and the other at 17 lbs and they can drink comfortably.I also like the Blue Lighted water level site glass for viewing at a glance walking by.Simple to set up. Only one tiny complaint is there should be a well of some sort to hold pump into a controlled space.But so far so good it staying put as long as I’m not moving it around the house all day long.

Works great, looks nice too.
I really like this cat water fountain. All the steel parts are smooth and nice looking, the pump itself runs perfectly. The babbling brook noise it makes is kind of relaxing and doesn’t overpower other sounds like tv or talking. It has a blue light but you can turn that off if you want. I like it cause it helps to see where the water level is at, plus also provides a cool nightlight in that area that was missing before.I only feel like I have to clean it once a week because my house and cat are clean and I use filtered water so when I take it apart to clean, it already looks clean. I really just do a quick wipe and rinse of the steel parts and run and squeeze the filters under hot water, I don’t see why the filters can’t last 3 months.5 out of 5 for me.

Best thing I’ve ever bought for my 2 cats.
Cats love this fountain.Had a plastic water fountain for years. Cats used it often and unfortunately played in the water with their paws. Constantly had to clean it. When I saw this stainless steel fountain, I thought it would work better. Performs better than I ever imagined. Set it up and found cats preferred the burbling option. They drink from it frequently, the water is cold and free of debris and there is no algae or other growth clinging to the metal. Very happy I bought this. Also easy to clean.

Jinx LOVES it. What else is there?
My Norwegian Forest Cat, Jinx, was skeptical at first, but after a few days, gave up his water dish for good.I never got it to run with the filter in place, but then, our local water without a filter on it is completely disgusting, so I just stuck with it.Anyone already make a flood opening the top before running its water back into the tank first? :-)Finally, as I’ll be adding when I finish this last short paragraph, I swap out a couple of USB power banks I already had for both hurricane season and astrophotography.

It’s a good deal
Decent bargain for the price point. The instructions are clear enough and even have images for those who prefer to eyeball it. The water flow is soft enough so as not scare the cats but still enough that if you are close and fall asleep, you think you’re next to a babbling brook. The only minus would be the constant filter replacements but it’s a small price to pay so that feline friends may have a proper drink. Instructions on filter replacement (every 2 weeks) comes with the instructions which also include a cleaning schedule ensuring optimal use as well as the first filter and sponge for the water pump. Make sure you go with the metallic option as plastic is porous and more prone to bacterial build up.

My cats love this fountain.
My cats love this and drink all day from this fountain. I have two older cats. One with kidney disease and one with diabetes. They were both rescues. Eleanor, the one with kidney disease, stopped screaming at my sink every day.You must keep refilling this fountain. If it makes a groaning noise, it’s very low. I use a pitcher and fill it up with filtered water from my refrigerator and slowly pour it in. Also, once in a while, change the filter as it gets clogged up with cat hairs.I wish I had found this years ago. It’s a nice height for cats or dogs. I bought a different much more expensive low level type of fountain from a pet store and it wasn’t anywhere as good as this. Just keep an eye on it and keep refilling it. It’s runs quietly. If you hear noises, it needs water. Don’t let it run dry.

Cats Love It but it Does Make Noise
My cats love this bowl which is ultimate rating that could be given. My only complaint is that after a month or two of use, it vibrates in a fairly noisy way. You have to tap it with your foot probably twice a day. Weird since I clean it every four or five days and I use bottled water since ours have a ton of calcium in it. Thirsty cats!

Works very good!
My cats absolutely love it. I switched to a stainless steel because I noticed the one I had before would grow mold and algae fast and I would clean it 3 times a month. The plastic fountain did take my cats a second to drink from. I even had one on strike for two days and she would hit over my water cups lol. So even if your cat is not interested to it I recommend keeping it, just give them time to get used to it. Like I said my cats love it. And they let me know very loudly when the water is out lol. But with this fountain my cats had no problem drinking from it. I like that it’s larger than the one I had before. It was very easy to assemble. Just followed the little directions it came with. The fountain itself came with no damages and the steel is really nice. I think the price was reasonable considering it came with an extra filter and sponge along with a mat to put underneath.

Had plastic one for 8 months started leaking . Did replace with the metal . I put on plastic tray with paper towels underneath it does have wet paper towels . It’s not leaking so must be the way my cats drink . But they love it . So we are happy if there happy .. lol

Pump quit working after 2 months
EDIT: Customer Service reached out to me after the original review posted. They offered an apology for the inconvenience and sent me a new pump as well as additional filters. I received the new pump in 1 day! All is quiet again.This fountain was great at first. Cats loved it and so did I as it was very quiet. After about 2 months the pump started getting loud and then stopped working. Disappointed as I really did like it initially.

Whisper quiet!
I thought I was purchasing a cordless model but that wasn’t the case… Oh well. It is whisper quiet and works wonderfully… My cat had never seen moving weather before so it took her a couple of days before she got brave. But now she loves it and her fur is even getting fluffier??? I had expected her health to improve but this is only ther second week.

Repeat customer.
Just purchased for 3rd time. Bought the original plastic model several years ago. Pump finally failed. Currently use 2 stainless models. Have 2 large cats. They love them. Wash in the dishwasher every couple weeks, clean the pump per the instructions replace filters. Between these cleanings, rinse under the kitchen faucet sprayer using a clean dish cloth and change filters to get the saliva out. Currently priced very attractively.

Great product!
I’ve been using this for weeks now, and it works perfectly. My cats like it much more than a stationary water bowl. It’s not loud at all, and it holds a LOT of water. You do need to keep up on changing the filters, though. I’m back to buy a few packs of those — but they are not expensive. Overall I am super happy with the purchase, especially for the price.

Cat fountain upgrade.
Ordered this to replace our old cat fountain. We liked that this stainless steel fountain is more hygienic than plastic water dishes out there. The fountain has 6 individual streams and a large capacity water tank that gives the cats a few days of fresh water with the carbon filters it comes with. You can illuminate the water to check the water level so you don’t have to open the top to see where the water level is, a very handy feature. It is a very nice upgraded water fountain for our fur babies. I’m sure the cat or small dogs in your life would appreciate this fountain if purchased for them.

Easiest Fountain to Clean!!
I have used a few different fountains for my cats over the years. Plastic ones, stainless steel, ones that are built similar to how a sink faucet would be. This is by far one of the best I’ve had. The ease of use and putting together is fantastic. Changing the filters is easy, cleaning it in general is super simple. No complicated parts to remove. The flow of the water and quality is great. Makes my cats very interested and it lasts a while before having to refill/clean it again. Definitely good bang for you buck.My only con would be that it does get a little slimy because it is stainless steel. But regular cleanings keep that at bay.

Great replacement for water dish.
I have two small dogs and they like this fountain to drink from. The water is circulated so it is fresh all the time. The pad that comes with it keeps the floor dry. It is very quite so it can be in any room. It had a filter to keep the water clean.

Great product- unfortunately cat didn’t like it
I really liked this product, and I was hoping my cat would like it too! It was easy to set up, came with refills for the filters, and super easy to clean. I also thought it looked really nice. Unfortunately it scared my cat due to the noise, which I wasn’t expecting as her foster said she liked having a cat water fountain before. I would definitely recommend this product, I opted for stainless steel because I know plastic with water can often cause yucky looking stains or build up. It didn’t hurt to try!

My Bengal Kitty absolutely loves his new water fountain! He has always had a flowing water bowl, the only way he would drink water! I ordered the stainless steel for 2 reasons, 1. We live in a warm climate and thought maybe his water would stay cooler. 2. Read that the stainless steel is actually good to keep bacteria away, etc.Best decision ever! He definitely drinks lot more water than ever and it doesn’t get slimy in filter etc!

Totally Recommend
I bought this fountain as is is stainless steel. Which is great as my cats get chin acne when drinking from plastic bowls or fountains. I also loved that it was dishwasher safe. As I have had water fountains and have had to clean my hand which was time consuming and was not certain that it was completely clean. I do struggle putting the fountain back tother after cleaning. The pieces have to be completely lined up for fountain to work correctly. But the struggle is totally worth it. My cats love it. I totally recommend!!

Easy to clean, keeps water cold, and no pump noise
Update 2: about 3 months in, still running beautifullyUpdate: not a big deal for this product in itself and won’t change my rating, but my cat is a menace and managed to knock out all the water in a night😭 one thing that could be improved though, is the durability of the mat. There’s now a few inches rip in it due to my cat’s antics :(I was skeptical about this product, but so far it has completely held up to my expectations. Below, I’ve reviewed multiple parts of the product, and I will update this review if anything happens to change.The very best part of this is the detachable parts and very few parts, which makes it very easy to clean. For the tube, you’ll probably need a little wand tool, but very easy nonetheless. The tube is plastic, so that is the one thing I would have liked to be different, such as making it metal. The pump is plastic, which I don’t know how that could be changed or not. But it’s a small price to pay though for an otherwise stainless steel product that is beautiful.The light on the fountain works as it should, but it doesn’t light up the whole water level bar equally. You can still see where the water level is at from a distance, but there’s a distinct cutoff where the light is bright and the light is dimmer that you can see in other people’s photos. It’s not a big deal to me and seems hard to make even with the way the light is on the pump – I love just having a nice light there and an area to easily see how full the water is.The tube inside really has helped me out a lot though. It sticks through the layers and connects to the pump, and this thwarts my unruly cat from knocking off the top of the fountain to make it not work as well, as she’s done in the past lol. I did see water still out of the fountain, but it was only on the mat, and that’s the fault of my cat, not this product.Another thing I’ll note is that normally my cat’s water dish is moved around in a 180 or angled sideways when she knocks water off. I can tell with how it’s positioned on the mat that it didn’t move at all, with an almost full water level, and that was great for me. She has altered the lid position with her antics, which I can tell because you can hear the pump as a result, but so far it’s easy to adjust.Something I wasn’t expecting or looking for was how well this stainless steel keeps water cold! So far, I’ve had it for about 2 days, and the water is still pretty much ice cold like how I put it in. I’m sure the running water also attributes to this.It’s very quiet. It is not silent, you can still hear some water running just a little bit, but the pump is completely silent which is amazing!Overall, very happy with this product so far. It and the mat are so pretty, and I love how easy it is to clean the fountain

Great water fountain BUT lid comes off easily
I do really like the durability of this water fountain and the fact it is entirely stainless steel. My cats drink alot of water since getting this. BUT I was not expecting the top lid to come off so easily because my outrageously smart cat can lift it off and spill water out of it. And it’s not a small amount of water either. I wish there was a way for the lid to be more secure on top without having to tape it.

Very loud!
We had the plastic version of this for a while and loved it so when we upgraded to the stainless Steel we had no worries. However after just a couple months it is EXTREMELY LOUD!UPDATE: I am changing my review from a 3 star to a 5 because this company is just great and really gives me peace of mind moving forward with their products. They reached out to try to fix the issue and gave a lot of options to suit us.

Please Take Apart Pump And Clean Often
I change the filter on this fountain weekly because I have multiple cats. I was cleaning the pump on the outside and noticed a bit of brown gunk around the hole that the water comes out of. Being bored, I decided to dismantle the pump and clean it. I was horrified to see what was inside. I had no idea. I guess I stupidly assumed I should just rinse the pump out and keep up with filter changes. I used a toothbrush and other cleaning utensils to scrub every single part of the pump that I could pry open. The amound of gunk that came out was awful. I soaked the pump in a solution of vinegar and water and ran it while in this solution as well. I hope this is safe enough now for my furry friends. I will most likely be buying a new pump every few months now. I use tap water, and change filters weekly.

Second Veken Purchase
This is my second Veken fountain. The first one lasted 4 years until one of the cats broke it lolBut great quality and water flow. The cats love it. I wouldn’t get any other brand or you’ll fuss with the fountain not actually filtering the water or slow water flow. This one has proven to be top tier!

Quite operation, ease of cleaning. No issues so far.
Veken Stainless Steel Cat Water Fountain, 95oz/2.8L:The product arrived well packaged and fully functional.My cats like this one a bit better than some other designs, as do I.It’s quiet, has sufficient water flow, is easy to clean, and has a nice finish. The finish is a little delicate, though. Be careful with anything abrasive, such as the green 3M pads. It will mar the finish. Not that important on the interior, but noticeable on the top and sides.The filter, while it does catch some detritus, is somewhat ineffective. Food and other particles are frequently found floating in the bottom, having passed the filter.I wish it had a detachable cord. It’s a bit of a pain to have to unplug it from the wall and take the whole cord for cleaning. Other brands use an inline barrel plug that can be detached a few inches from the unit. This allows the wire to be more permanently managed without unplugging and unrouting it every time. It should be easy enough to add after purchase, but would be a nice product revision.

Good product with some pros and cons
I like the design of this water fountain, it makes great water trickling sounds which draws my cats attention. The flower design makes a nice high water stream. ButI feel that it’s hard to see the water level with or without the light, not a big deal but just my opinion. Also my cat is able to move the top lid and has made messes so I use masking tape to keep it un movable. To refill I have to pick it up and take it all apart and fill it which I feel is kind of a lot more work than my last one. I use to be able to pour the water directly into the top to fill it. But those are my opinions. I still have it four stars as it is nice just if you don’t mind the little extra steps. The picture shows the masking tape to keep the lid tight so my cat doesn’t sleep it and spill

Well built, but requires a tray of some kind because water splashes all over the floor.
I love this thing. I upgraded from a plastic one after the motor broke, as I have a cat with a urinary disorder and he needs to stay hydrated. The stainless steel is so much better, cleans much easier and over functions well. I like that it has several different filtration methods, especially one that filters the water as it falls so it keeps dust, hair, and gross buildup from getting into the main water basin. It does make quite a bit of water noise, but I actually like it. The motor itself is quiet so it sounds like one of those mini waterfalls.Now, I do have some complaints, but they are relatively minor. I don’t know if my cat has a really flappy tongue or what but the water does get everywhere. I have a tray with a deep lip I’ve set it on so it keeps the water from collecting on my floor. However, I tried using the pad that came with it first and it was basically useless. It keeps the fountain from slipping around I guess but the water collects all over the floor. I suggest buying this with some kind of tray/ edged plate to set it on if you don’t already have one.Overall though, it seems really well built and functions as intended. My kitty boy loves it and stays hydrated as ever.

Well made at a good price
First this is a well made stainless steel water fountain. The directions were well written and easy to follow. Only one question there. It contained two little sponges. I was not sure whether to use them both at once or save one for later. I saved one for later. I previously had a plastic water fountain so I believe the stainless steel one is safer for long term use. It is going to be easier to keep clean. No little crevices on the spout to try and squeeze into to clean. It is quiet and has a nice strong flow. My cats took a while to warm up to the fountain, around 24 hours. You know how cats hate change. As you can see from the pictures the girls are enjoying it now. Well made, quiet, easy to clean, safer than plastic, and offered at a good price. Thank you.

Easy to clean
Great for our many cats.Very easy to set up. The cats liked it from the start. Nice and quiet. I don’t have pick up and clean out the bowl every day. The reservoir is big enough for a couple of days. It has a blue light that helps you see the water line.The only noise I hear is when the water is too low and I need to add more water.It can go through the dishwasher when I change the filters.

Amazing buy! Quiet, doesn’t splash, cat loves it! Keeps water fresh! Even comes with a nice rubber mat that sticks to the floor to protect it from any potential spills. Highly highly recommend this water bowl!Our friends have one of these and recommended it. They said they just wished they got the stainless steel. It’s not that much more expensive, and it really is worth it. Keeps it cleaner, no mold. We were worried the motor would be loud and scare our very skittish cat, but it’s not at all! The motor does make bubbling noises when the water gets low, which is nice because it reminds us to refill it. Definitely a game changer and our cat is very happy! She even will watch it for entertainment sometimes. Highly recommend!

Was great, stopped working right after a month
I was very happy with this fountain for the first month. It worked great and my cats liked it. It usually lasts a week before I have to refill it, so it’s a good size. All of a sudden, this morning, the day after the return window closed, the fountain spout stopped working after refilling the water bowl. The motor is still working but won’t push the water through the spout anymore. I had to remove the top dish and the filter level and just let my cats drink out of the bowl. Very disappointed.Edit: Contacted the seller, they responded within the hour and offered to replace the motor at no charge. Changing my review to reflect excellent customer service.

SO easy to clean
The cats love this thing. We only fill it with filtered water so we don’t use the carbon filter. The water level is great, and all you have to do is top it off by dumping water in the top. Every couple weeks we take the little black filter out and give it a good cleaning, but the stainless steel always looks spotless so we just give it a once-over with some soap and it’s done. The brightness makes it easy to see where the water level is without even bending over. Super easy, super cute, super quiet, and the cats love it.

Absolutely worth it! Get it!
In the past I had a plastic one that got so nasty. THIS product is 1000x better!! Very easy to clean and it STAYS clean! I use this for my kitties and they absolutely love it. The LED light is nice because it indicates when the water is low. My cats are so much more hydrated with this product. It’s done a perfect job for a while now and I can see it lasting so much longer than the plastic one. The plastic one got trashed right away. It makes little to zero noise, just a nice little bit of water noises. Awesome product overall and amazing price point.

Amazing, worth it, keeps our cat hydrated
Amazing!! Super easy assembly, and once filled up, it can go over a week without needing to be refilled. It’s not noisy, at most you’ll just hear the water moving, or the pump if it’s low. It does come with two filters, but it’s not hard to keep clean at all. Doesn’t mold, or really get dirty at all. Great for our cat and us, he’s been drinking so much more water ever since we got this for him.
